£1,200 raised for Children in Need
Thanks to everyone who helped us raise an amazing £1,200 for the BBC’s Children in Need appeal last month. Our four nurseries in Alford, Boston, Swineshead and Wragby spent the week leading up to 18th November taking part in a range of Pudsey-themed activities culminating in Children in Need day on the Friday. In Alford the children took part in a sponsored baked bean walk, a cake auction and an artwork auction, and they ended the week by making a donation and coming to nursery wearing their pyjamas. In Boston the nursery staged a Great Pudsey Bake Off cake sale and there was a raffle to win a giant cupcake. In Swineshead the staff drew an outline of Pudsey on the floor and the children brought in enough two pence pieces to fill the whole bear shape. They also had a sponsored pyjama day on Friday. |
In Wragby the children had fun joining in on a Pudsey bear hunt in the garden, and as well as wearing their pyjamas to nursery they enjoyed spotty activities throughout the day. “All the children and staff had great fun raising money for Children in Need,” said Joanne Overton, Manager of Mon Ami in Alford. “We were also lucky enough to have a special visit from Pudsey bear who came to wish the children well in their fund-raising efforts. “The total raised across all four nurseries was £1,200, so well done and thank you to everyone who supported us!” |
